Relating to the monthly stipends allotted to the commissioners, clerk and treasurer passed and approved July 11, 2023.
A PROPOSAL TO AMEND 120.2 (MAYOR AND BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MEETINGS) AS FOLLOWS:
Delete Section 5 in its entirety.
Create Section 6 to read as follows:
Effective July 1, 2023, A $20 monthly stipend shall be paid to each Board member in a lump sum of up to $240.00 (two hundred forty dollars) each December, based on months served on the Board in a calendar year. This will be made retroactive to January 1, 2023. Upon mutual agreement, this amount may be increased at the discretion of the Board each fiscal year without amendment of this section.
Create Section 7 to read as follows:
Effective July 1, 2023 a stipend shall be paid monthly to the City Clerk of the City of Moorland and the Treasurer of the City of Moorland in the amounts of $150.00 (one hundred fifty dollars) to the City Clerk and $450.00(four hundred fifty dollars) to the Treasurer at each regular monthly meeting for duties performed on behalf of the City of Moorland. In addition to the stipend paid to the Treasurer, a supplement shall be paid to the Treasurer in the amount of $100.00 (one hundred dollars) at the beginning of each fiscal year beginning July 1, 2023 for the purpose of replenishing any office supplies and or/materials used to perform official business. Upon mutual agreement, these amounts may be increased at the discretion of the Board each fiscal year without amendment of this section.
