Meeting called to order by Paul Muth at 6:36 pm, Angela seconded. 

Minutes from April were approved by Paul and all seconded.

The Treasurer’s report for May 5th was read and approved. Paul motioned and all seconded.  

Checks were signed.

Barbara Taylor paid reimbursements for two homestead exemptions.

A check for $101.80 was paid so that Barabara Taylor could be bonded for another year.

Barbara received a letter to see if our city wanted to join other cities to pool municipal aid funding.  All discussed and agreed there is not a benefit to our city and it would tie up our funds.

Barbara requested more information on how many street lights were out to get a reimbursement from LG&E.  A resident informed everyone that the Claremoor lights are out again.

Business

• Paul discussed the pva reassessment and that people have until May 18th to dispute the new amount.  Paul suggested that the board should lower the moorland tax, being that the higher assessments will increase the amount Moorland will receive and that it is not necessary.  Currency, Moorland tax rate is 20 cents per $100.  The board will crunch the numbers to determine the new tax rate and vote next meeting.
• Another water meter halfway down the Ashmoor entrance is still leaking and needs repair. 
• The yard sale date was set for June 6th.
• Spectrum wants to meet with Paul to negotiate terms and agreements.
• A resident asked about being able to have a dumpster in the street in front of his house while work is being done.  The board discussed damage to asphalt and agreed that the dumpster would be better in the front easement area.
• A resident brought up that the repair to the asphalt at the corner of Ashmoor and Earlham looks bad and that it may be temporary and needs to be redone.
• The board discussed easement overgrowth and the need to make sure all is clear before it gets too bad.  Letters will be sent out to remind owners of easement and Paul will get estimates from someone to clear the areas that are not clear, billing the resident.
• A house in the Claremoor cul de sac has junk in the front yard as well as an Earlham resident.  Letters will go out.
• Barabra suggested that none of the board members should go to a house alone for safety reasons.
• Mailboxes destroyed on Claremoor have been replaced.  Culprit not found.
• The board wants to encourage everyone to have house numbers visible for emergency purposes.
• Kevin brought up the discussion on residents having concrete blocks in their front yard.  He would like to propose a new ordinance to make it illegal or change the ordinance of cars parking on the road.
• The board discussed going through two ordinances every month to update them.  Next month will be the parking ordinance and the length of grass ordinance.
