Business
- More residents used the leaf pickup than anticipated by the leaf company. Next year the same company would charge considerably higher fees than this year.
- Lyndon plowed Moorland roads again during snow. Tony also plowed. Tony has not sent in a written bid for 2026. Moorland received two bids from other companies. One company bid per hour and the other company did not allow the Mayor to make a decision on when to plow or salt. All commissioners agreed that they could not agree to the terms. Paul will reach out for a written bid from Tony and another company for a final vote in the January meeting.
- Many residents in person and online have been complaining about a black poodle running loose in the neighborhood on many occasions. A letter was sent in 2024 about the issue and another letter will be sent this month. The city is encouraging everyone to catch the dog and call animal control to rectify the situation.
- A resident that received a letter to permit his garage came to the meeting to complete. After questions about the garage being a movable structure, the board agrees that it does not need a permit since it is not permanent.
- A resident informed the board that the company that completed the sidewalk work did not repair the landscape damage in the neighbors yard. Discussions on the sidewalks being ADA compatible was also discussed.
- A resident brought up that the website is missing a picture of the new signs of Moorland. The clerk will look into it and fix it.
- Discussed easements and right of way on Moorland properties.
- Discussed the fire on Brentmoor.
Paul motioned to adjourn the meeting and Kevin seconded. The meeting adjourned.Next meeting January 6, 6:30 pm in person at Northeast Library.
