Business

  • The mayor has been getting complaints about 9206 Farnham having pallets of lava rock in the front yard.  A letter will be sent to the resident to move debris from the front yard.
  • MSD came on December 19th and cleared portions of easement.  Creek rock in the easement is blocking the flow of water and will need to be removed.  A letter will be sent to the owner of the house and if the creek rock is not removed in a timely manner, the city will contract the work to be done and bill the owner.
  • Paul stated that he felt the leaf removal was sufficiently done for the weather that we had in December.
  • Three bids for snow removal were received.  The first was a contract by a large company that would put Moorland last on the list, the second was a contract by the hour and the board felt that the cost would be too high.  The third bid was with the same contractor as last year and the same price.  Paul motioned to accept the last bid and all approved.
  • The clerk gave an update on the website.  The contact page was sending all info into spam and the hosting site could not rectify.  The clerk made the decision to have an email link in place of the text box.  The clerk also updated the board on the work on the street signs.  The sign that fell has been repaired, the leaning pole has been fixed and the sign with damaged corbels had to be taken to the shop because the repair would need to be welded in the shop.
  • A resident pointed out two typos on the website, and the clerk will rectify.
  • A resident brought up the lights being out on Claremoor.  Paul will notify LG&E
  • Another resident asked about the requirements for permitting.  After discussion, the resident will apply for a permit since the carport is not yet decided on type.  The clerk will check if the permit is accessible on the website.
  • A resident asked if the board has seen a schematic of the road work in front of the city.  Paul remembers seeing something long ago and will reach out to Paula McCraney and try to get a copy to share.

Paul motioned to adjourn the meeting at 6:57pm. Next meeting February 3, 6:30 pm in person at Northeast Library.
